Resilience through reconstruction, repaving, repairs, resurfacing, refreshing and redecorating has resulted in restored resort and a vibrant area!
Like countless communities across the country, our patch of Panama City Beach has been on a recovery path since a natural disaster. Now, it's reemerged - ready to restart. It's been a long road since the Category 5 Hurricane "Michael" upended lives and damaged the area. Today, it's difficult to find a trace of its damage. Even Thomas Drive, the 'long road' leading to Treasure Island, is all-new thanks to a complete rebuild and road resurfacing.
Treasure Island's $10M+ restoration is completing
As you glide down Thomas Drive towards the familiar bright orange Treasure Island Resort you'll see pockets of rebuilding from damage incurred from January's tornado. But, as you reach the resort, you sense that the $10M+ restoration is coming to fruition. From the roof, parking garage, and exterior - nearly every structure and surface has been touched.
Over the past six months 200+ balconies have been stripped down, resurfaced, waterproofed and resealed - with recoated and painted railings ceiling and walls. Again, it's a joy to relax and take in the sights and sounds of what makes the area truly unique - white sand and emerald water - and to experience amazing sunsets on a balcony that looks and feels brand new.
Owner refreshes
Many owners, like me, took the opportunity to refresh and reappoint individual condos and take on projects like bathroom remodels, refurbishing, redecorating and upgrades. It's been fun to share thiscondorocks' complete refresh and to tour neighbor's condos and see the care, creativity and style each has taken to personalize their home away from home.

The whole area is resurgent with recent additions - like last July's opening of the 38,000 sq. ft. Duplin Winery to the upcoming Coca-Cola Event Center and Dolly Parton's Pirates Voyage Dinner & Show venue coming next year.
Newly-opened Duplin Winery
Perennial favorites like the Gulf Coast Jam at Frank Brown Park's 22-acre festival site are attracting headliners - Morgan Wallen and Jelly Roll among them. And the free Summer Concert Series at Aaron Bessant Park Amphitheater kicks off in June. You can take a flyover virtual tour of the area or watch one of the beach cams at Treasure Island or Schooner's.
