Directions

Here’s a handy map - you can also get driving directions from your point of origin to Treasure Island Resort.

Click on the map and enter your starting address.

Your destination address is:

Treasure Island Resort
5004 Thomas Drive - Unit 1703

Panama City Beach, FL 32408

Arrival Check-in: Forms for Parking and Pool Passes ($20 Registration fee)

Check in time is 4pm local time (Central time).

When you arrive, you can park in your reserved parking space (#1703) on the 4th level of the parking garage. You’ll find hotel-style bellman luggage carts on each parking garage floor to help move your gear from car to condo. These are generally taken from and returned to the elevator area.

If you arrive on a Saturday, it can be hectic - especially during high season. Be patient, the rest of the stay will be a breeze. Once you’re settled, please bring your completed registration form to the front desk on the first floor. They will issue you a parking pass for #1703 and pool passes - please note there is a $20 registration fee.

Pool passes should be worn around the pool and beach to indicate that you are a guest at Treasure Island Resort.

Quick food on arrival

There are some easy options for a great meal when you arrive. If you want to step out (or do take out), Schooner’s is a minute walk away. There are menus inside the ‘black book’ on the coffee table so you can decide. Liza’s Poolside - literally poolside - is open 11am until sunset. They have great sandwiches- I’ve tried the turkey and avacado and the roast beef and pimento, both were very good.

Stocking up

If you have been to Panama City Beach before, you know that just about everyone stocks up at Wal-Mart upon arrival. It’s an experience in and of itself. If you want to opt for a more sane approach, I’d suggest either Publix or Winn Dixie on Thomas Drive. They are next to each other and are less than 2 miles away. To get there, turn right on Thomas Drive, left at the light (to stay on Thomas Drive), cross the bridge and Publix will be on your right in Magnolia Plaza. They are open until 10pm during the week and until 11pm Friday through Sunday nights.

Beach deals and coupons

There are lots of activities in Panama City Beach for all ages. For your convenience, coupons for local attractions, restaurants and activities have been provided here for printing as you’d like. You will be to taken to the Panama City Beach Visitor’s web site with coupons online across multiple categories.

Laundry

Inside the condo is a laundry room with super-capacity front load washer and dryer (affectionately referred to as ‘my boys’ - I know my fellow clean freaks will understand), ironing board and iron. You don’t have to worry about taking dirty clothes back home, you can throw a load in as you’d like.

Problem reporting

Should you have any problem operating the electronics or small appliances in the condo, please contact Pam Chace at 678-642-6631. If there are serious immediate problems please contact the Security Chief, Kevin Francis and he can be reached at 850-708-5320. Please also note that condo is equipped with a fire extinguisher which is located underneath the kitchen sink.

Managing moisture

Although we treasure the ocean water, moisture inside the condo can be very damaging to electronics, cabinets and bathrooms. Please ventilate the showers after using and allow dry air to circulate. When using the coffee maker, please pull it forward and out from under the cabinets to avoid damage.

If you have children

Your inquisitive kids may connect that there are nautical drawings and sand samples from around the world - plus a globe inside the condo. Here’s your parental cheat sheet: The novel Treasure Island by Robert Louis Stevenson, has a central character: Long John Silver. He’s loosely based on the actual English explorer, Captain James Cook. The drawings are from Captain Cook’s three exploratory voyages during the mid-1700s. A cartographer traveled as part of the crew and they even explored the coast of Florida and mapped it.

The bottled sand samples on display throughout the condo are all from places Captain Cook may or may not have been (Australia, French Rivera, Rio de Janeiro, Italy, Greece, the Baltic Sea, Cartagena Colombia) - but the globe (look by Australia and you’ll see Captain Cook’s ships) and some more research may answer their questions - and prompt more questions about literature, art, geography, history or geology - good luck! There are also games for the kids stored in the guest room dresser lower drawer.

Health & Safety

There is a first aid kit on the top shelf of the kitchen small panty. For safety, the second bedroom has cordless blinds. They can be adjusted up and down by hand. There's both a fire extinguisher and a fire suppression blanket under the kitchen sink.
